Your Call Is Important to Us

Dust in a sunbeam
Slanted across the nave
Is all that remains of those
Who prayed here once.

Did they get an answer?
Or did they meet with the same
Silence the visitor does today,
One older than God himself?

No matter. They are at peace
Now, churning gently in the light
That speeds between stained glass
Window and flagstone floor.
